June is National Home Ownership Month! In saying this, if you are at all thinking about purchasing a home, there is no better time to do so. There are so many great things about owning your home. The biggest thing is building equity on your own investment. I have helped so many first time buyers over the last few months buy their first home. With interest rates at all time lows, for many, rental payments are more than what a mortgage payment will be.
A question I get a lot is can I get a loan even if I don’t have a large down payment? The answer, yes, there is! I have helped a couple recent buyers with USDA loans, which are 100% LTV options. We can even negotiate seller paid closing costs, where the money a buyer has to bring to closing is minimal. I believe that rates will stay low for the remainder of the year.
